I think it's rare for the powerful ones like Lou and the other one (i forgot the name). The ones he bought isn't sentient like. The rare ones are the sentient ones. That's how i see it anyways..
Well to be fair, the shop is full of egos because they're artificially manufactured; not to mention that Lou and Elle were only found because of his ability/skill. They're probably rare because people easily pass them, like how the MC didn't notice Elle w/out Lou telling him
The story literally said they aren't THAT rare, just picky. And the reason why MC couldn't detect them before is cause he didn't go to another level of the tower
Babes maybe you misunderstood my comment. I was just saying I found it interesting how ego weapons aren't rare in this story when in stories that usually contain ego weapons the common troupe is that they are rare.

It's ironic in a sense how the ego weapons and armor are so easily obtained by the MC. The common trope is how extremely rare they are yet this man has what 6 of them? Then the shop he goes to is full of ego weapons as well. Not complaining just thought it was interesting how they decided to use "egos" in this story.
