Please, read the novel. It's waaaaaay better than the Webtoon! (No actual offense, I do like the Webtoon, but in comparison, it just doesn't quite cut it).

Frey is a lot more mature in this one, which fits the narrative better by a landslide and that Isabelle girl never follows him out of the academy either. They separate when he sets off to travel to the mountain range and I don't know when or if she ever shows up again in the Webnovel (I'm currently reading chapter 152 out of a little less than 200 chapters from the first volume), so yeah, there's that.
