I definitely understand that which is why I feel it's rude and unfair to tell someone to stop uploading something because it's free somewhere else. Like others have said... They can't afford the necessary means to read it on those sites but can access this one. People should show a bit more compassion and understanding.
I understand where you're coming from but I think you're failing to understand the authors position in all this. At the end of the day you're reading something someone worked their ass off to make (for free too it seems) and you're choosing to support their work by reading it somewhere where their work is being posted without their consent. This is hours and hours of work that is being stolen. Just because it's also free to read on the websites the author chose to post on, doesn't mean it makes no difference reading them there or here. This is discouraging for the creator and it's stealing views and engagement, if we're talking about compassion and understanding I think thinking about the person that created all this should be our first priority.
If that's the case then no one should visit this site to read anything whether it's free or not... If that's your sentiment then why be here?
Yes, you can always argue that. My only answer to that is that most of the comics here don't have official English translations and some of them aren't even available for international purchase, so if I weren't reading it here I probably wouldn't even know it existed. But in this situation, it exists on two free accessible websites and the author is clearly being affected by the situation. It being here after the author has stated that it is bothering them or that they might drop it just doesn't sit right with me. It honestly amazes me that there is so little consideration for the person that created the story.

i believe this is the reason why a lot of fan scan teams are uploading the scans to their servers instead of sites like this... It's become too hectic and people are never satisfied.
Who cares? Affecting someone's career and work over "convenience" is just selfish. If you can't read it or don't want to go through the trouble to change websites then just don't. These scan groups shouldn't even consider posting without proper consent from the author. No one is entitled to other's hardwork.
Well in AMERICA possession is 9 10's of the law so if I PURCHASE IT I have the right to do what I see fit with it. EVERYTHING my scan group shares is purchased by us. So if you have a problem with it then stop visiting this site... WHY ARE YOU HERE GIVING OTHER PEOPLE A HARD TIME?
Well then you clearly don't understand how copyright works do you? If you purchase something you can use it how you fit but you cannot publish it elsewhere without having copyright consent from the author or the original publishers. I'm not here giving anyone a hard time, if you want to act all defensive and aggressive it's on you.

Not gonna go through the trouble to answer this again, read the thread if you want. I may read stuff here but I have a clear conscience that I at least am smart enough to stop reading something that is clearly having a negative impact on the author or is very clearly free and available somewhere else. Imagine preferring to comprise a free comic (since the author mentioned they may quit) cause you're too lazy to change websites? Wanna talk about Karen vibes, you're full of them. Have fun.
How do you know I don't read it there? I found out about the manga here and continued reading it on Webtoons.
But someone who comes with it that an author is doing badly because of it and still reads here although it should be clear that most authors are the same, yep you're a great person and the rest of us are all just selfish :D.
To put a point here. It is one thing to tell others that there is xy also there and what the author has written, but to insult others and denounce is just the worst ^^. Have a nice day with your great ego ^^.

When the hell did I ever insult anyone? If you're reading it in the correct place, none of this even applies to you. I replied to the people that were defending the scan group that won't stop uploading even after the author asked them to stop.
Plus, I never said using this website makes you "selfish", I used that word to reply to the "Some people like to go to ONE site for all of their needs and don't want to have to jump from site to site whether it's free or not." argument. That I consider selfish yeah, I stand by what I said. Most of the comics on this website aren't accessible at all, some of them don't even have translations but when you see a comic that is originally in English, and is available for free on two legal websites that help support the author and some people still choose to go with "oh but I like reading it here better"...?
I don't know what compels you to say I'm the bad guy here. If you're not the one uploading and you're supporting the author, then why even bother fighting me.
That there are some countries where you can't view certain sites? Do you know that people in those countries have to go to hurdles to get to those sites? Some people like to go to ONE site for all of their needs and don't want to have to jump from site to site whether it's free or not. If someone chooses to upload it here what business is it of yours? I feel it's rude to tell someone to stop uploading this when it's a help to others. If you can access the other sites then good for you, but don't make it hard for those who can't. BTW... Don't suggest a "free VPN"" because at some point it'll harm whatever device you're using. Depending on the one you download it could have a virus attached.
