I feel like rafael's the culprit. I mean i had this gutfeel that rafael drug louis and was about to 'you know' do him, has he not been seen by maetel first. Like he litterally said wait for him. And i feel like the case of murder happening was rafael like he was sus or obsessed or something. Thats just my theory.
