The only time he apologized was when they were fucking. There's a time and place for everything dude. He had no right to tell the others off when he did the same thing. They were friends for ffs, years later he pretends he doesn't even remember the dude knowing the trauma he caused upon him.

Loooool I’m not justifying bullying. I’m saying people make mistakes which is true. Humans are flawed, especially children. If you are going to judge a person by everything they did as a kid, no one would be acceptable. You judge people based on how they much they grew as a person. Are they nice? Polite? Respectful? Etc.
At least he apologized! Out of all the people who bullied me in elementary and middle school (which was basically the whole school), only one ever apologized. So this story is pretty realistic.
I had a friend who bullied me in front of people and when we were alone she was really nice.
Guess what? I’ve moved on and forgave them. Life is too short to keep all that hate in and stay broken. I’m glad he forgave him because people deserve second chances.

He bullied to the point he had to leave school, what are you not getting? Showing a little kindness is all it takes to forget that, no apology needed apparently. He was traumatized all throughout the series even when they were dating. The uke did nothing wrong.

Also, this is pure fiction lol but there are forgiving people out there thankfully. I’ve heard much worse bullying stories and even my own, who forgave their bullies. It’s just better than to continue hating and reliving that experience.
Hilarious really, his only friend resorted to bullying just because he was starting to catch feelings. Uke said it himself, there were two types of people he could never forgive one of them being bystanders and the other being the bullies. Seme legit falls into both categories yet he was forgiven. Was he ever direct while apologizing? Nope :)

Anyways, a lot of it would've been resolved had he just apologized earlier on instead of dragging their sorry relationship on. What Kanezaki and his plus one said to Sanada was true. Sanada was a coward who was no better than them. He started it, turning his back on his friend and turned a blind eye. Years later he meets Itagona and plays pretend for what?! fckr. Itanoga only forgave him bc he liked him that's it, even so he had a hard time trying to forget the past Sanada.
