Ye I’m totally fine with some well-placed, relevant drama. But this feels forced and unnecessary. Like, do we really need to go with the “people are out to hurt one of the main characters assuredly bc of his relationship with the other ml!” route here?? Wish we could’ve just seen their relationship continue to develop without all of these new plot additions (the guys best friend coming into the picture and trying to seduce Hyuk, the current drama with a random guy beating Hyuk up, etc) :(
I obviously don’t know where the author is going with this, but I’m confident in assuming that it’s the same “jealous ex sends someone to hurt current lover of his past bf” trope that’s been used numerous times in bl. If it’s not that or something similar, I’m totally ok with owning up to the idea of me being incorrect
Your absolutely right. It is absurd I think I was in to good a mood when I read this chapter lol. But I just read it again and...I am disappointed by the cliché drama especially cause a lot more recent dramas have been dropping the bullshit drama. So crap like this really stands out. I do however hope this takes an unexpectedly good turn but I highly doubt it. But I always hope for the best cause you never know some stories can surprise you with misdirects.
thanks! I myself do love drama but only if I advances tbe plot and is original. a lot of the times the drama is very stereotypical and clichéd. w the way the mc had been approaching relationships w this idea of extreme honesty and all had led me to hope this story would be more creative! but oh well.
...I was really hoping that shadowy figure wouldn’t turn out to be someone evil out to hurt hyuk just cuz that sort of drama is overplayed but here we are I guess
