Gongmul's concept is based on Yin and Yang that can be understood in the omegaverse as Omega and Alpha, respectively.
From what I can tell, it's similar to an omegaverse but not completely the same. An omegaverse is usually based on k-nine creatures who go into heat(represented in humans) with omegas, betas, and alphas. These three are often the hierarchy among k-nined creatures such as wolves. In this manhua, from what I can tell, the boys kept saying they were a "yin" or something which is why Eunwoo says he was unable to learn martial arts. I'm assuming it is because omegas have a weak body so those born with Yin would also have weak bodies and thus, are unable to learn martial arts, almost the same as women in ancient china. I think Yin comes from Yin and Yang, representing opposites. An omega and alpha are practically completely opposite other than (probably) their gender. I'm saying probably because omegas and alphas can be girls as well, but omegaverse are mostly for BL. Anyways, if we were to assume that a Yin were similar to an omega, I guess we would assume that someone born with a Yang would be an alpha? I'm not completely sure though since I have limited knowledge about this. Also, sorry if my explaination was a bit long and led to even more confusion, I have limited brain capacity and thus, am dumb.
(Also, I don't think they've gone into heat from what I can tell...they just have...a major.... umm....s*x drive?)
