well, none of the main characters die so there isn't mich emotional sadness you'll get but there is a lot of violence, rape and murder so be warned if you don't like a bunch of they in a story as long as this bjt i think the way everything played out was raw, unique and in it's own way realistic! a forever gem of mine and the sequel is even nicer to read! it recently came out so once you finish this (if you do) definitely move onto that
