Actually it was weirder that ML kept holding onto that grudge and toyed with MC a decade after it happened, as some kind of petty revenge. I mean sure, to a teenager it's pretty upsetting to hear that they aren't pretty/handsome enough for their crush, but MC wasn't cruel about it. He simply said "no, sorry" and told him why. He didn't laugh at him, didn't mock him or insult him. He took his time to properly reject him, despite being called away, and that's it. Yet ML was a jerk to him after such a long time, despite still liking MC and obviously knowing that MC likes him, which should have been something to be happy about. Weird.

Let's face it--in high school (& middle school) most of us said the EXACT SAME THING before we got to know our crushes! It is human nature & we grow out of selfish reasons when we grow up (except for fuck bois/girls anyway)

Good thing that he didn’t give him a false hope, but in my opinion “I won’t date you because you’re too ugly” is way too harsh, especially for a teenager. Which doesn’t change the fact that adult ML was a total jerk

Not everyone understands tactfulness at the high school level- remember that incident happened in HIGH SCHOOL NOT NOW when they are adults. But then again everyones' experiences during their school years are different. If all your classmates were tactful and sweet good for you, but for the majority of us- not so much.

And yeah, ML as an adult (like alll of us) he was a jerk and still can be sometimes.

Well at the end of the day none of them is innocent (even tho we know who did worse things). And if we talk about high school experiences, then ofc there are awful incidents, but I’m just a sucker for nice and nontoxic relationships in manhwas that’s why I’m not a big fan of their attitude (▰˘◡˘▰)

Some people hold grudges and what might be a simple rejection to u it might of been a whole word collapse to the ml so he changed his whole lifestyle dedicated to revenge and i though it was funny lol i guess everyone takes things differently but i also agree the ml was a jerk
