I think being a maid from a duchy is not to be looked down upon? I dont know in real life history but in these worlds, the servants of nobles are usually people of lower status typically from nobles of lower status and rarely commoners. So those maids are probably from fallen noble families like the MC thats why theyre being salty.

Oh I see.. My bad. But I do agree that theyre being quite rude considering the FL is not only a guest but considered as part of the ducal family. Like it would be understandable is the noble family is also rude to her but that isnt the case
