Damn, this man can’t get credit for trying to make shit right. Everything this dude do is so wrong for y’all wtf. This man tried helping her at the beginning but didn’t because of the other father and he regretted his decision that he prayed and wished so hard that he could make things right for her, he allowing her to do what she wants. He ain’t doing shit for him he doing it for her and to make things right for her, y’all think shit too hard when it comes to what men’s are doing.
I think he lowkey liked her atleast, just that he was forced by the father of Reina to ignore her and stuff, hence him being ignorant and cancelling out his feelings. I would LOVE to believe that he sincerely wants to change the outcome.
Tho that does not mean his actions were justifiable. He did smth wrong and now he can atone and change the outcome.
...okay.
First, you might've misunderstood me? I never said that anything he recently did is wrong (although except for his decisions and actions in the past life.) I mean, It was obvious that he really wants to care for her on their first life. I saw that, I understood that. (We've been reading his side for quite a few chapters now, haven't we?) You said so yourself, he didn't do anything because of trashy father. He didn't have the courage to fight for her, or stand up to her—even the brains, tbh. Do you really think that (pre-time-regress) Reina, if logical and strong as she is now, would stay with him knowing that even though he actually cared for her and her son, he still really didn't do anything to fight for them? He lacked the courage, the balls. He assured himself that by not doing anything, not interfering, and acting as if he's heartless, was the biggest help he could offer. Hence why his son got mad at him, hence why he was locked up with Reina's ghost, hence the regrets, hence the guilt, hence why he desperately wished he could do it all again.
Second, I did mention that I could be overthinking or just plain cynical, because when he thought what he should do when he realized that Reina changed, or the possibility if she also regressed, gave me a possible thought that could've been running to his head. If Reina have memories of him in their past life, she'll probably want to take her child and leave him (which is what Reina initially planned), and if they did, how is he able to rectify his mistakes. How will he get rid of the guilt in his heart? How will he free himself from his regrets?
I never said everything he did is wrong, I actually loved the moment when he asked Reina to show off her powers. Proud Mama moment for me. But rather, I am doubtful on the thoughts behind his actions because of that last line. But it was merely an assumption, a possibility. An opinion.
And lastly, it doesn't have anything to do with him being a ‘man’. I don't know just how did that suddenly come into this. For one, an overthinker like me, overthinks everyone's action towards me, every single one. I don't discriminate. (▰˘◡˘▰)
Welp, sorry for the long post.
Yes. I did see that. But as I've said, he did lack the courage to fight for her and stand up for her. I also would love to believe that his current actions right now is indeed selfless and for the better. But the last thought just threw me off a bit and activated the cynical in me.
Correct, correct. Also, I did mention that whatever his reasons are, the only way he could get Reina's forgiveness is to just focus on their family and get the courage he lacked before to keep them safe. (๑•ㅂ•)و✧ And whatever he plans to do, I don't mind lending him
a hand in peeling Reina's father from head to toe.
Welp, you're generalizing. As a matter of fact, I remember every chapter, I remember everything he did for her and Reina found weird for him to do. (AND THAT GODDAMN PART WHEN HE ADORABLY BLUSHED) That's why I assumed before the possibility that he could've gone back in time too. But some spoilers I read before that it was her son. Now thanks to the previous chapters, I was right.
Ohhhh. I wasn't doubtful on the stuff he did on the past, but knew it was wrong and he could've done differently. ┑( ̄Д ̄)┍ Buttttt, they're all in the past now, and we're on the second life. Instead, WHAT I am kind of doubtful if what he's doing right now, in the current life, is if he simply and really wants Reina and Elle to be safe and happy, or he's doing it because of his guilt. That's all.
And honestly, the only way to answer that question is to see more of his perspective and his future actions, and decisions. (〜 ̄△ ̄)〜
So like, just my perspective, when he thought of that last bit... What he's doing right now is somehow for the sake of his own conscience...? I feel as if he's doing this for selfish reasons...? Like, he just wants to unburden himself of the guilt he felt from failing to be a (good) father to Elle, and a (good) husband to Reina, also failing to properly protect them, care for them, love them, and basically what every normal person naturally do for his/her family. Also when he realized her spirit couldn't pass on peacefully, also because of him ngl.
(I'm sorry, but it's just the way I see. However, I could be wrong or overthinking things, or just being cynical, or it could be the way the translators phrased it.)
Regardless! I believe that he should just focus on the wellbeing of his family, and make sure that neither the duchess and her child gets harmed again. Make sure that Reina's garbage of an f-word gets what he deserved.
