imo the first time it wasn't coercion, bc yeoho entered the mutually beneficial situation willingly. but after i would say it was, bc there was a looming threat that if he didn't agree he would be exposed. the difference is the 1st time yeoho came to him for the help and accepted the terms, whereas the 2nd time hyungjoo approached w a threat
true, but i think its also the vagueness of the “contract”, since both party didnt specify the length of time this must go on. yeoho might think its a one time thing while the other thinks otherwise.
what do you think about the morality of sugar parents in the entertainment industry... which in the case like this, didnt outright start with deliberate coercion. it wasnt the sugar daddy’s due duty to erase the artist’s scandal, but he gave a chance under a condition. would that still be considered as coercive...?
im still on the fence about this bc even if theres no blackmails involved, the power dynamic is very slanted to one side. and the existence of the sugar parents industry (?) itself allow such coercive relationship to exist, which would otherwise be non-existent (for this particular set up) if this is not a thing. at the same time, it’s not like the artists themselves did not get anything out of it. some of them might be more than willing and did not enter the relationship only because it’s their absolute last choice. confusion.....
