That's exactly what the op was saying. You dont have to reply to the post. You can simply click the follow button to get notified incase someone finds it.

I think they meant that if no one commented on the post and the op found the manga themselves, op wouldn't necessarily comment on their own question with the answer if no one commented bc they would think no one was interested since we don't get notified on people following questions.
