Sometimes I wonder why they dont just animate it like they do hentai, that way you could have the sexy bits without really SURPRISING people. You wouldn't have to dial down shit.(but I cooould be wrong and that's just not how it works)

If you follow the author's twitter you will notice a screenshot or two of a live action version of the manga. There's probably a live action tv adaptation in the works or airing in Japan right now. However, I cannot find such online, nor can I read Japanese to know for sure from the twitter posts.
They're probably just cosplayers. The only Rihito Takarai manga that got a live adaptation was Seven Days.

IMO, for a live action movie it was surprisingly good. I'm really picky with live action movies but I was pleased with it. Some cringey moments but it can be overlooked.

How hot they were is a subjective thing, so you should just judge for yourself (google is your friend). I think their chemistry was fine.
