Niv, I feel you. I think her only few options if she really likes the guy are 1. she should be celibate or 2. only sleep people that she’d never care about. So far with little to go on it seems she wants to have the best of both worlds but for some reason she can’t. So she should chose what matters more sex or a relationship. Then go to therapy IMO.
That made me think about sexuality... In Western countries, there's asexuality and aromanticism, but as far as I know, China doesn't have those concepts, so Japan probably doesn't either. Having sex in a relationship just seems like the default mindset for them.
