    Yes, but when the author said he was going on haitus(break), the characters are free to do whatever they want freely. So the guy chose to kill himself and come back to the real world.

    Jihun can't coz he is a character from the author's imagination. He doesn't exist outside of the novel. Soem is different because the author based him entirely on a real person because of which he got into an accident in real life and got transported into the novel. So he is the only one who has a real world existence and can leave the novel.
