Because Yumi is like a Mom, a girlfriend, a younger sister and an older sister to Baek Do.
1. Yumi owes Baekdo a ton of money because of the medicinal ingredient she used in the beginning, not realizing it was super high class until too late.
2. She promised to pay him back.
3. Baekdo plans to stay at her place until she can pay him back because he's afraid she'll run.
4. As time went on, they became friends.
Can someone please remind me why the MC is so protective and a bit obsessed with Yumi. I feel like I am missing something
