If all the characters are STRONG FEMALE LEADS then there would be no variations, is there? Say you hate it but what can you do about it? Should you hate someone just because they don't meet up to your standards? Geezer, this is why 'weak' people have low self esteem. Because even though they have to be respected as a fellow individual, people instead look down on them. Humans have different lives and experiences that could lead up to where they are now. And that same goes to FL. She was sold as a kid and grew up fearing death her whole life. She grew up not having anyone by her side so her actions are actually understandable.

this is why i don't like reading straight stories(aside from villainess), they always make the fl weak and submissive asf to the point of having no personality at all but props to the great art
