I don’t think he killed them either with his personality and how docile he can be there has to be a back story not just the evil “the demon sect steals a child to be the sect leader” bullshit because why can’t their own child do it ? What happens to the sect leaders child if they steal one to continue the sect ?

Ok so I don't know why no one else is talking about this but does no one else feel bad for the ML like his whole family is gone and he almost escaped twice but it got ruined. I have a little feeling that maybe The Father didn't kill the ML parents and if he did or didn't there is something behind it, if not then I feel so bad for him.
