The fact is that Nine has always been emotionally abused and all his life he learned that he has to keep is emotions for himself or he'll be considered too weak. As a person who can't show her emotions well myself, sometimes we need time to process or emotions and rationalize all of that, and it may takes hours or days depending on how overwhelming the emotions are. Either way I don't think Nine is fully right, but we need to understand that unless you are a Saint, love is an egoistic act, even more when you can't express it an you need to keep it for yourself.
It's true... I apologize if I hurt you, especially since you somehow relate to Nine. The reason I posted this is just to express my reasons why I find him annoying since some people seem to think I'm just plain hating. Lo and behold, there's this good response (yes I mean yours) that actually encourages empathy and not plain shitting. Thanks.
I'm a bit (too) impatient when it comes to discussing feelings. It's just frustrating to keep things inside when things can be resolved through a proper conversation >< But yeah... it can be hard to express too.

I didn't know about others comment, and I'm sorry cause sometimes people on the internet really don't know how to discuss and just start talking shit.
It's more useful to have conversations like this where people can express each other respectfully and learn from each other prospective since we are all different.
Now, now, having to explain this is troublesome... It doesn't mean that I find Nine annoying, I'm attacking y'all. See, Melissa doesn't reciprocate Nine's feelings. The thing is, Nine cares too much for Melissa, to the point that he's almost telling her what to do and what not to do. Again, the feeling isn't mutual. The way Nine is acting, getting angry and sulking for getting told off and for Melissa acting "reckless", is ridiculous and pathetic. If he's really worried and it is love, it doesn't have to be that way (sulking and getting angry). He can be more rational and explain why he's so worried and how Melissa's plan can fail. Instead, he chooses to just "OK I UNDERSTAND" and sulk. That's what I find annoying. He's just like a child. He needs to grow up. If he's worried because he thinks the plan can fail, then explain why. If he's just worried because he loves her, then he just doesn't trust her at all and really sees her as a porcelain doll. If that's Nine's love for Melissa then that's just sad. Anyhow, I just find his childishness annoying and not cute at all.
Now if this is going to go down the road of Melissa realizing that Nine loves him and then going "oh he loves me, I have to appease him and listen to him so he doesn't get so worried or angry and cry much" then I'm dropping because that's just not my cup of tea. But he's got potential to grow. Anw, me saying he's annoying right now, doesn't mean he'll be annoying for the rest of the series because there's this thing we call "character development".
Y'all are free to enjoy the story and characters. This is my opinion and that's it. Just because I don't like where this is going doesn't mean that the manga itself is crap. Shit on me if you like. You have your opinion, I have mine.
