Guys.. I think yall is getting mad at the wrong person. I'm not saying this for the "pretty privilege," because I don't believe in pretty privileges. I'm saying it because the ML was young, and his own people is getting killed more and more, days by days. Even if he sacrificed his people for our FL, who would be there to deliver the baby if all of them are dead/quit.

Exactly, no one. Plus, I think you guys are forgetting something: With more power and influence, you will gain enemy. Thus, the moment you start joining hands with others, the bigger the chance that they will stab you in the back. With powers, comes with sacrifices.

And let me get this straight; I'm not excusing that the ML is so weak to the point where he is powerless even against his own father-in-law. I mean, the FIL planted spies around the FL, and with one foot step into the FL's mansion, she will literally be killed because the ML has no power despite being a Duke.

Yes, he should've tried harder but in order to 'try harder,' he need a solid plan, good alliance, and a long-but-limited time. He would need to choose his alliance wisely that could guarantee his wife and son's safety. But with these problems — the death of his innocent worker one by one each day, and the constant threats from his FIL — of course anyone would've been driven to a corner.

I'm saying this because I'm putting my feet into ML's shoes. It's really hard to get a strong alliance and army that is willing to fight one of the strongest family with the largest influence in such a short time.

Plus, what can I offer?
