Why they gotta drag it out so much, I just want to see the father regain his memories ╥﹏╥ just stab it in his head and then things will be over

He basically stabbed a tree branch from the world tree into both their heads (I was looking forward to seeing how that would look....oh well). There's a reason Athy got the tree branch too. Anyway, Claude woke up after having the tree branch stabbed into his head. Took a while before this happened because Lucas was on his trip, but the waking up part didn't take long to solve.
The cliffhanger is killing me. Did the manga artist plan on waking Claude up at exactly cp 100? Anyway, I'm somewhat enjoying the altered plot on how to wake Claude, but I gotta say I kinda miss the simplicity of how it was done in the book.
