Well uhm not quite cause i read the raws and it maybe confusing but the mother once was a saintess, but a temporary one (so not a real one from the start) because saintess is the daughter of the god reincarnate and that’s our FL
So I’ve got a theory. I think Mom was originally the saintess which is why the other wings felt the instant loyalty, but when FL was born she became the real saintess and Mom was no longer the true saintess which is why she lost her power to her daughter. Also without the holy power it allowed her natural vanity take over and turn her cruel. This is why during the time she was saintess the first 8 wings she met had instant loyalty. However, youngest wing didn’t feel instant loyalty bc the FL had become the saintess at that point so the youngest wing only saw Mom for what she actually was as she never feel under the compulsion the other wings did while she was the actual saintess. I bet when youngest wing Noelle meets FL she’ll feel the instant loyalty
