I think smn here said that if smn they cared for in a non/platonic way ever did smthn similar to Melissa, they'd understand Nine's point and I totally agree with that cuz that's just a dumb move and if my friend/important person did that, Id prolly smack some sense into them but that's only because at a certain point i know my friend would not be capable to get their asses outta drinking poison or other situations. Idk how to explain it really but ye, Nine still has a long way and i love his character, I just think its this smothering (I found the right word :D ayyeee) of his which is a little suffocating especially when theyre relationship is yet to progress. Kinda uncomfortable to always have smn police you for the slightest bit of danger looming in anything you do (i.e. Melissa just swinging a sword in an empty space and he's there going insane or Melissa running and he's getting mad at her and the ground for existing or sumtn lol or Melissa discussing the plan to drink poison and he's overtly acting up, its kinda excessive luv :''> ).
