ohh im not sure, but this could be it, manual labour can actually pay quite a lot as its not very desirable and also because its hard to do, seeing as they already have money they could be doing it just to earn more. But a someone i know used to work in manual labour and they said it actually payed really well haha,, hope that helps ;P
The uses family lives in a mansion because his whole family lives there, he moved out and got his own job and apartment because he wanted to be independent. We also don't really know alot about the semes backstory so we shouldn't be quick to judge.

i thought of the same thing as well but the uke's mom is very caring and affectionate, i don't think they would let him live on his own without giving any kind of support and plus since his family is loaded, he probably got a good education so it doesn't add up in any way.
It does add up though, he wanted to live his own life without being dependent on his family. Which is why he moved out and got his own job.
They also didn't want him to move out and live on his own, he had to spend a lot of time to get permission to move out and be independent.
