Yeah if my mom had someone trying to murder her and she had a slightly reckless plan to catch them with safety measures I’d shut the fuck up because hey I can’t seem to find my better idea just like Nine. You get the setting. They out here trying to kill each other it’s not tea parties. She’s not putting herself in these situations because she wants to but out of necessity. Was she suppose to leave Yuri with that bastard that’s her friend. Is she suppose to let this guy trying to kill her run loose??? If nine really concern he’d do some training and work on having her back so she don’t end up being pushed into a corner like last time. She probably wouldn’t have had to go that far in which she almost died if he was more useful in a fight. But instead of training along side Melissa he’s pouting because she wouldn’t do what he wanted. You see how it’s irritating to some readers. And the mom thing don’t even make sense. I side with the mc. The mc does what she wants when she wants it. She doesn’t have a responsibility to act according to other people’s wishes. She doesn’t owe anyone a restriction on herself. Yes she is reckless but she is able to do so because of x,y, and z reasons. She works hard and strategically to protect the people she loves. Nine would do the exact same to protect the people she wants.
Nine is getting annoying not because his care is too much (well kinda), but because it feels like he’s overstepping. He’s a butler and friend but he’s allowing his own personal wishes to interfere with mc’s progress towards her goals. Mc doesn’t owe him anything (she’s acting based on her own want to protect her loved ones) and yet he’s acting like she has a responsibility to uphold whatever he wants for her. To the extent where he’s visibly upset and unprofessional towards her. Obviously that’s not that big of a deal because they’re friends and stuff. But like dude, leave her alone ya know? It’s her goals and her future. You may not like how she is getting there, but the best you could do is unconditionally support her.
