Now I get people going on about nine make melissa look weak and to try put his foot in the life of a noble lady who trying to save a girl who is being mistreated by her (melissa) own brother, her was supposed to be husband , a stupid dog and a bird and still try to stay safe?? But put your self's in nines place well ALL know nine like melissa so try putting you self in nine shoes the person u like is tell you to help then get poisoned although they have an antidote at hand the fact that you have to see them in pain would hurt you and that is what nine is trying to say .he would rather be the one who get poisoned than see the person her love and admire get hurt not the he's belittling melissa and putting her down as weak but just as a guy that doesn't want to see the person he like get hurt so can u stop coming at nine for thinking of melissa as weak but just someone who doesn't want the person he like to get hurt ┗( T﹏T )┛

Ok but it’s hypocritical for Nine to say he would drink the poison himself no?

If you see it from a master/servant relationship it's the servant's duty to put their life on the line to save their master not the other way around. Yes, it's also the master's duty to protect the ones who work under but normally they don't exactly go to such extents that'll cost them their own, because at the end of the day it's the servants who 'serve'.

I mean sure, but that's not the dynamic Melissa has w Nine and is also not the reason why Nine was acting that way (and tbh that dynamic is actually quite abusive anyway but not the point)

Yea, it's quite an abusive dynamic and Melissa absolutely doesn't treat her people like that but it's the common master/servant in verse' like this, just wanted to point that out.
