I'm not here to change it, I'm here to agree with it. Really even if she was still in the modern world, what woman or person for that matter, has enough time and emotional clarity to notice a love interest and build a romance with so much on their plate? I can barely read when a stranger is being flirty when I'm stressed, yet people expect her to fall in love?

yesss, nine really needs to start putting his trust in melissa !!! whenever she plans things with consideration and backups, nine always objects because it includes her getting hurt. it's nice to see him being so concerned over her safety but melissa needs to proceed with her plans, he's just being a burden if he keeps being so distrustful of melissa's plans. nine is a good guy but he's shit at being a supportive companion, if i was melissa i would be annoyed if someone keep objecting against my plans because of my safety. LIKE THAT'S PART OF THE PLAN IF I WANT IT TO WORK, STOPPPPPP.
Are y'all really the same people that were praising Melissa for being "not like every other villainess" and "omg queen you're so smart step on me" on the early chapters of the story?
The way I see it, us, as readers, can read the toom and can tell who's in love with who, who's the bad guy and who will have a significance in the story, but we can see it because it is SHOWN to us. Melissa can't read minds, put yourselves in her shoes for a bit, you're trying to get rid of a stinky green rat that lives to harass your friend, you're trying to manage your family and trying not to die at the same time, the very last thing in your mind would be "Oh I think that my butler is in love with me, and perhaps I am too". Good lord y'all judge with an Iron stick.
Anyways I'm open for an argument so if you wanna curse me out and try to change my mind go ahead.
