Like he did NOTHING to help her. She was clearly going through a mental health crisis which is why she couldnt take care of her baby. And what did he do instead of helping her??? Separated her from her baby and left her alone- Did he really need to be the duke THAT badly that he had to neglect the woman he choose to marry and the woman who GAVE BIRTH TO his child??
Exactly! He had all the time in the world behind closed doors to tell her about his deal with the duke, to at least let her understand what was happening. Not that even that would've been enough... he should've said yes and then just... NOT DONE IT!
