I agree with you but if you think about it, we're talking about Chinese history here. It is common for women to act this way when they have never experience of freedom before. Girls are raised to be proper so that they can later gets married off into another family at the right age in order to get the support and benefits from that specific family. When I say married off, they are as young as 12-13 years old. Basically, it's like those common stereotypes where women is a stay at home mom and should take care of her kids and looks while the men is the breadwinner of the house. You can say, freedom is not what matters to them but instead what is benefitial for the family, that is just how they were taught. The twins forced him into marrying cuz they thought that he would agree since he will also gain benefits from it. It would be weird if anyone refused that kind of offer. Noted that our mc came from the present time so he wouldn't know abouut this and just assume that it's wrong to marry the girls off to strangers. I'm not trying to support this kind of ideology but that just what it's like in the past. Same goes for harem, I don't like harem but it's a common thing back then so it's unavoidable for it to not appear in martial art based type of story if you know what I mean. Even this generation, some Chinese parents from country sides still has this kind of ideology and they try control your marriage and life. I know that cuz I have a grandmother who is Chinese and damn, she lectures me everytime and tries to control my life but I don't mind it, I know that she cares about me and that's all it matters.
Thank you for sharing with me this information. I knew a bit about things like this since it’s all over history and such but it’s just mainly passed over so i don’t know much about. It’s still quite sad that this ideology is still being forced on a some people. I wish some authors avoid putting this in mangas but I do understand it was part of the past. I hope your grandmother will learn to understand that this ideology shouldn’t be used especially in the modern world. The funny thing is that they reject other people's proposals, but cannot accept the rejection of their own proposals.

I’m sorry but why are the girls acting like this. First they basically try to force the MC into marrying them for their own benefit without even thinking about the MCs feelings. I get that they don’t want to be married to strangers but don’t drag some else into your problem without consulting them about it! And they are doing everything like they are in the right. Then when the MC tells them he thinks of them as siblings, which means he cares for them a lot, she calls him naive and to reflect on it?! Like reflect on what?! How you aren’t thinking about his feelings and just doing and saying what you want?! Is him risking his life for your rights not enough for you? He is trying help you guys. Why are you like this? He basically put his future on the line(marriage and future self/cultivation development) for you! You still want more? This is just plain selfish and greedy. As a girl I wouldn’t be blinded by love like the way the authors portrays the girls. No hate to the author the plot is amazing and all but why do people always make the females like this?!
