NO it said he got re-married to a wife that already has a child! the body doesn't matter since again they not blood related XD and she doesn't see him as a brother! it a fact and a simple one! stop arguing with facts, it won't change even if you argue.
and they didn't grow up together - again he left early.
First and foremost, they are *step-siblings*. Moreover, they've never treated each other as family. The stigma of incest is the outcome of inbreeding, causing detrimental and recessive traits in their children. Even though in many cultures, marriages between cousins are allowed, incest is still a taboo (and is also something that I don't condone at all), but in some countries, such as Korea and Japan, it WAS a method to preserve the purity of their lineage, especially for royals. And again, THEY DON’T SHARE ANY BLOOD. They're not related and once fl will cede the head role to ml, I suppose she’ll cut all her ties with the family
(my comment it was cut lol)
They are practically strangers, come on. And you are even disregarding the whole ontext and era of this manhwa. Also, by saying “this doesn't even look like this could happen on earth”...you are applying modern mindset in a historical story. Sorry to break it to you, these kind of things happened both in the past and are even continuing now. Humans had always done nasty things, there's no reason to deny any pf that. And I'm NOT saying that incest is right, but clearly, it's not a concerning factor in this story.
Personally don't have a step siblings so I cannot say for sure whether I would or wouldn't (I'd say probably not but who knows really until you're put into that situation). But I was practically raised with my friend and her older brother and sister and for the longest time I had a crush on him. We weren't related at all but we grew up together and considered/still consider each other as siblings (I never dated him and I don't still have a crush on him but the whole "grew up like siblings" idea was there)
I respect how you view it but this story is a "romance story" between them so it's kinda pointless to argue and get angry if they end up together. Specially when the author hinted veryyy clearly from the start. So you can drop this now so you can avoid further headache. If it's not your cup of tea then just drop.
Tht's the thing tho she doesn't wanna listen. I don't mind if she wanna drop it but why do you have to shove ur opinion on us who like the manhwa. She keeps on asking the same question "would you date your step siblings?" lol gurl I'm sure if we said yes (if we're not blood related at all and circumstances led us to tht) she would definitely be looking at us like we're disgusting. THEY'RE NOT BLOOD RELATED. I'm sorry i rant at you skittles
They’ve known of each other’s existence, but Yus was sent to the academy at an extremely young age, so they haven’t exactly had any family experiences with each other. You may still have your opinion about it being a little sus, and I’ll agree, if this were real life, I also would find this weird. But this is a story, they aren’t blood related, and they’ve never really been family. So I find their relationship a little bit less than incest. It’s like, can you really call some man your father if he’s never been in your life for the longest time but was just some sperm donor or something.
It seems like your problem with Yus and Ran is that they are by name, step siblings. I hope you understand that they are in no way siblings: not blood related, haven’t seen each other in years, act on a very businesslike relationship. If your problem is that they are step siblings bc of their parent’s marriage, then (SPOILER ALERT) .....
Though you probs already know, but Yus will take her off the family registry in the future meaning they will no longer be siblings. That being said, you can still have your same opinions and drop the manwha if it makes you uncomfortable. If this were real life, I feel like I would also find this relationship sus. But, this is fiction, it’s set in a time period where incest is common, especially in noble families. I just wanted to sum up and try to explain why some of other people’s comments are getting a little tense in response to your opinion.
That being said, I do find the example that someone bring up earlier, it’s kind of like falling in love with your childhood friend / brother’s best friend kind of situation. You’re basically like family at this point, but it’s still okay bc by name, your aren’t quite family. Eventually it will be a similar situation life Ran, but only for right now, they are still siblings.
If they start to date I'm leaving because their half-siblings this is nasty even tho she, not the real person still Σ(っ°Д °;)っ
