From what I remember from a spoiler I read a while back, since Elle is so fucking strong he was ordered by the emperor to be confined and while confined the spirits let him see how his mom lived and died and he gets really pissed off when he realized black hair bitch wasn't his real mom and how his real mom suffered due to her scheming. So our boi goes and confronts the dad and the dad is all dead inside n shit not really caring and now daddy getting confined. So yeah Elle favors his real mom and is pissed off about how she was treated.
