Despite the desperation of his sudden 'whack in the face' by his omega nature, meeting his fated mate when he thought he was omega and being a normal, horny 17 year old boy, he overcame it all to put the welfare of his alpha first (to the point he was ruining his own health with suppressant misuse). He met the mom and openly shared his good intentions, and just had to be near him. I found it heartbreaking tbh, poor guy. He was a really good kid though, and avoided all relationships until his alpha came for him. The strength of his character was impressive
