Uhm I think the author made it clear the they are revering the sun god, and it was even noted that "this was a fictional work and is no way related to any nation"
But yeah the manga's world building was executed so poorly to the point where it's offensive to cultures/beliefs that are related （￣へ￣）

The problem is his attire is so closely pertaining to Islamic dressing for men. Also the word "sheik" or "sheikh" is a Muslim scholar or someone very knowledgeable abt Islam and they usually lead prayers at the mosque. It may be fictional but personally, I find it a little annoying with this lack of proper representation and lack of proper research towards the Muslim community. I'm not to sure since I find it a bit disrespectful that they worship the sun god when Islam strictly states that God is not something we can describe as the sun and is the reason we have everything in this universe. And the fact that he's wearing Islamic attire is just... (I'm not trying to disrespect anyone for believing or viewing god as the sun I'm just trying to say that there needs to be more awareness when your portraying someone that obviously relates to Islam) it also stems from a lot of orientalism
That author should’ve made more research about Islam cultures, strict rules and beliefs if they want to represent Muslim or Islam
I like the story but the way they are presenting sheikh which is also Muslim also shows contradiction. There are many Muslim readers and I am sure no one wants to hear any bad thing about their religion and culture. So it would be better if they showed that he was a foreign rich dude or have done more research. One more thing in Islam it is necessary for both spouses to be Muslim or else it won't be considered that they are married. So this is also wrong.
