About that title.....

I read this, beginning to end, and I loved it! But I have to ask. Where does 'Navy Blue' come from for the title? Is that the color of unrequited love or is it the color you turn when your love is unrequited? Or did the editor say "Well, we have to call it SOMETHING!"

I'm years late into this and it's also quite a stretch, but this is something I thought about too coz it's just odd considering the title and content of the manga. But here's what I came up with: In chapter 5, when the uke visited the seme's school, he saw one of the classmates with the same jacket color as his sister which is bell pepper red, then the seme was surprised saying navy blue is the color in demand so why is the school sticking to that color. It was a quick exchange and felt kinda out of place, and also the only scene that referred to the title; this is just my interpretation but I think the colors pertain to manga genre, with red bell pepper (shoujo/het stuffs) vs navy blue (BL/homo stuffs), when the seme made his remark, it was sort of metaphorical, referring to the actual trend of BL mangas during the release/production of this work. Having said that, the title just means "BL Story" or something lol

Hey, it's a reason based on actual dialogue from the story. (Which I missed!)
I'll go with it. I have this manga marked as a potential 'reread' so I will remember to watch for the referenced quote.

    Cheers!
