This Manga is skipping lots of chapters. So right now we are at chapter 75 of the novel.
In the novel it was the mum who first mentioned the concert, and lots of stuff happened in between (prob 15-20 chapters) until yangfen (mum's right hand) invited nian nian to the concert, but later ditched him and gu yangshen went instead.

So I'm guessing the divorce will happen soon, considering autor is skipping a lot of the story

Like nian nian planted sunflowers, (he did after the first time concert invitation) and his only regret after the divorce was that he won't be able to watch them grow.
