They don't say shit to him cause they're not serving him. They're employed by his parents, who are the ones responsible for the utter lack of communication between the two.

Violets maids, when will they shut the fuck up? gossiping infront of your master? what will you gain from that? are you that stupid? aren't they incharge of taking care of violet? why hasn't anyone told winter about violets situation? like about the money or the dresses? like not even one? and the people on the dukes side (or serving the duke) why haven't they atleast check if violet is doing okay? they just send dresses and then wait for letters. did they really think violet was that picky of her dress? I guess i can understand that they did not expect the letters to be fake but what the actual fuck? nobody really told violet about the stuff winter bought for her ? and nobody really told the duke that violet didnt receive anything and that shes fucking miserable? "she likes dull clothes" mister, what is that bullshit? who likes dull clothes? didn't you ever wonder that maybe there was something wrong with the dresses? did you ever see her happy? and when winter told violet that she likes dull clothes, WHY DIDN'T VIOLET EXPLAIN THAT SHE DIDNT LIKE DULL CLOTHES??
