Uhh I'm not sure if I remember correctly but Felix's mom was Claude's nanny? So they pretty know each other since childhood, and the person he trusts the most is Felix. I would assume that Felix would go with Claude even if he said that he doesn't need guards or something.
So i didn’t keep up with this after season 2 so i decided to go back and read and ... did felix and claude always have such a ... fruity relationship? like clause doesn’t need any guards or maids but the one person he keeps by his side ... casually enters his bedroom at night. I’m not saying i ship them! this is just a good faith analysis
