It is so refreshing to see characters asking for consent instead of just being pushy about it. This really is a healthy relationship and I love the healthy way they approach each other. Consent is important. Asking permission is romantic. Less toxic BL & More consent and healthy BL, please! We need more of this.
I totally agree, articulated consent & decisions coming from both side is the best kind of romance and how every love stories is supposed to go! (Except ofc if the story is focused on unhealthy/toxic behaviours)
I find it sad but this made me realize once again that too many romance BLs lack of clarity when it comes to consent. I can remember a lot of moments from other BLs where one of them straight up kiss with no warning and the other « melts » into it which seems to come off as him agreeing to the kiss, which is not clear consent!
