I feel like this story is playing on this idea (although I'm assuming that the MC did not enter a novel.) To me the comparison made by her seems like foreshadowing at the fact that this story is somehow a novel/story.
Or he might just hate the MC so much that he is using this annoying girl that happens to be also using him for power.

SO either the prince is a morone or he has an alternate plan to "protect" the kingdome, if so its prob using the 3 families that now suport him and his new "fiances" familys power. But im guessing that will fail as none of them have the godesses blessing :P
Fl and her family will prob use this cancelation as an exuse to declare independence under the acount that "you royals said we are useless, so there is no reason for this useless family to stick around!"
