If I'm not wrong, it is a happy ending because they end up meeting in the modern world.

This topic is just a speculation on my part and is a spoiler
As most of you might know.. Eris will return to her own world after ordering the ML to burn her remains to keep her from regenerating... so i was wondering if the ML will come to posses magic as it was told by the witch in chap 23 that people who are desperate will evolve to become a sorceress... and he might use that power to meet the FL in her world....but this is all just a theory and I just wish for a good ending
