So they do the did then Caleb fades away. Our Eiji went on with his daily life but of course there were times of misery. Connor arrives with a black blob which I assume is Caleb and on the last panel/scene(?) Caleb's back was shown at the veranda(?)

Although Caleb eventually disappeared. Connor met up with Eiji and tada! Caleb!
