I’m a little confused can someone explain to me what’s going on?

the updated chapter is telling it from the ml's pov of the past life of what happened and why he treated her that way

I'm also a bit confused but i think this is what happened in their previous life from the pov of the ml ( it looks like the ml was threatened by mc's father so he acted the way he did ). Will need more chapters to confirm this tho
