She was making something for her father with beads and when the carriage was shaken it fell down and the son tripped becoz of it so her mother jumped to save him ......well mostly he just blames her for nothing I guess he needed the son to be his successor so only the fl was left
Maybe because her mother died protecting her brother and she was the only one unharmed he blamed her? Yeah, it really doesn't make sense why he would only blame her and not the son as well, but maybe misogyny? Grief doesn't make sense is the only thing I guess
Well apparently I read the comments some saying is that because her mother is the duchess which owns the family name or basically she’s the noble one not him, n her pass away took away his authority as the duke... leaving her inheritance to her kids instead of him. So he kinda despise his daughter cause technically because of her he lose his privileges... smtg like that
