Idk about the blondie, but I think Hades is trying to cover it up. Blondie gives me the creeps

Uhm wait no. I think they used the other priest as a decoy so that blondie can take her wrist and check if the core was there. As for hades, I think he really was hypnotized cause after the blondie said "Calm down." there was a white light floating towards hades and after that, he acted differently.
I think they (blonde and Hades) are trying to cover up the fact that her 'core' is located there....her core should be hidden, if she reacted so much then that's an affirmation 'hey, u squeezed my core tightly, amma die ya know'... So reacting calmly and acting nonchalantly actually negates the fact that they almost discover where her 'core' is.
