I think the ciaran archduke is no other than Richard. And I think that his sister is the princess because he said "I saw her today but she tells me to go back, and she doesn't want to see me" or something like that, and the only person who say that was the princess. It will also be more logical this way because they really do care about each other, but this is not love, but sister-brother love i guess. and the last thing is Richard family and the ciaran's family " coincidently" died 7 years ago.
