You shouldn't expect too much from harada.. I know it's bad and shouldn't be taken as a joke... but harada....I...I can't even comprehend how scary stories this author can make. If the author can make it worse, he will definitely.
yeah I know I’ve read a lot of Harada works but usually i feel like r@pe is taken more seriously in their works, so i was kinda surprised when it was played off as a joke here y’know? but i agree their work is pretty fuckin scary and dark

I get what you mean but you shouldn’t expect Harada to lay off the rape jokes her work is supposed to be fucked up regardless if it’s about pedophila, rape, SA, etc. In my opinion this isn’t even half as bad as her other work.
It is worse actually because it's making light of an issue thats not taken seriously even irl and it's perpetuating that. I don't understand how rape being portrayed realistically is worse? We are not saying it's worse because it's twisted, it's worse because it's a toxic trope that makes it hard for real male victims to see their experience as valid. There's nothing wrong with depicting the more fucked up parts of life.

yes i agree, i feel bad every time the black haired one starts crying when he sees his rapist and the people around him taking this lightly :( but I actually think the manga itself is hilarious ofc not the rape jokes
yes i think the premise of the manga is pretty good, and i really love the two main characters but yea the rape shouldn’t have been included :(
Yeah i agree, I ve read a bunch of their works and theyve mostly portrayed bad things like r@pe realistically and showed that its traumatic and stuff. Its so weird seeing it get brushed off and even the victim blaming... ╥﹏╥ it made me so uncomfortable seeing it not get addressed, and I can actually stand a lot of rlly sensitive topics and weird stuff as long as theyre not made fun of so I hope that didnt make me sound like a “snowflake”
Actually well I havent read any of their works in a long time (bc well it was uncomfy for me *personally*) so I might be wrong since they do fetishize this stuff and all so ig it was expected lol, just that the author has never joked about it if that makes sense? The author has done a lot of psychological horror and stuff and even if they treat it as a kink it was never brushed off to this extent

it makes me frustrated how this story would be so much better if they didn’t try to make a joke about the r@pe Kuzuya went through and if it just wasn’t included at all like what was the point having that in something that was supposed to be a comedy :/
