Yeah, normal grocery store, in the spices section, usually comes in either bulk bags or those spice containers

Just don’t try getting too high off it, the side effects are not fun

Ooooo a suggestion is to put it in anything that has cinnamon
I think they taste good together, but the taste of nutmeg is pretty strong, so put less
I would say 1/8 of the amount of cinnamon is enough for me

So like, donuts, pancakes, pies, coffee, rice pudding (a personal favorite), cookies, quick breads, normal breads (if you have the patience and the yeast), really all baked goods. Honestly, if you try it and like the taste, I would try it in savory things as well, maybe add it to soup? Omelette? Don’t knock it till you try it ╮( ̄▽ ̄)╭

No, not covered, you would have to put it in the dough and bake or fry them yourself
Covering it in nutmeg would be way too much

cuz cinnamon and nutmeg spices are quite potent in their flavor, you really should hold back on the amount. it's like how you wouldn't want to taste straight up vanilla extract, really really bad idea, but it tastes glorious with a tiny bit mixed in to baked goods

"Slightly sweeter than mace, nutmeg is essential to bechamel sauce and also goes well with baked or stewed fruit, custards, eggnog, punches, curries, sauces (particularly onion-based and milk sauces), pasta, and vegetables (especially spinach)"

So how much is too much for kids to eat to make them slowly die?

So how much is too much for kids to eat to make them slowly die? baboxxgurl

for an adult, usually 1 tablespoon (14g), but it depends on your body mass, rather than age.
the effects start happening within 2-6 hours after ingestion, so you won't know you've had too much until it's too late.

so I would say, the maximum amount for a child would be around 1 teaspoon (5g) or less total, including all the food and drinks that have it during the next 6 hours.
really small amounts, it might not be safe for children.

for teens, I would maybe bump that up to 2 teaspoons (10g) maximum, but you are cutting it close. I would really start cutting off the nutmeg at 1.5 teaspoons (7g), especially if you are on the smaller side.

so anything above those numbers would probably be too much

"In one case, an eight-year-old child ate just 14 g of nutmeg and died from the effects, according to A.K. Demetriades, M.D., of University College London Hospital"

if you're actually planning something, be very careful, since I can't stop you.
make sure to measure the exact amount of nutmeg per serving, if you make the food yourself, and I would suggest to label the amount

but it would be better if it was only teens and young adults, since kids might not track how much nutmeg they are eating.

Honestly, who even tracks how much food you eat at a party, this is a bad idea, I would die if I went to a party like that.
