No it isn't, stop appropriating Japanese words. It literally just means woman who reads BL. Informative twitter thread of resources about it: https://twitter.com/_queerioes/status/1257759613652537344
Look, I self identify as a fujin/fudanshi. I'm aro/ace and trans. Fujoshi has nothing to do with being straight.
I argued with a person on facebook, a fujoshi shared a post that was clealry fetishizing gay people. And a bi “pick me” person commented this while I was saying in the comment on the post made that not gay people should not fetishize gay people
“Fantasies are, again, fun :) and normal. And just being unashamed about it and chatting with my friends about hot guys and hot gay sex ideas is fun, yes. I have even let two of my friends watch while I had fun with an other guy, all of us loved, its exciting. :D Writing fanfiction together is fun too. I even thought of hot lesbian sex ideas for two of my fujoshi friends who are a couple, because they asked me too, while they were raving about how cute I was with another guy.
However, on the other hand, you are going to find that everyone will absolutely hate and detest and exclude you if you start hating on the fangirls - aka our friends and fellow fans. That would, at least here, be the quickest way to not being IN the lgbt anime community anymore. XD”
They like straight up said that I need to accept fujoshis fetishizing gay people to be “accepted” into the “community”??????? They said that they will hate me them and their “fujoshi friends”??? for not accepting fujoshi or NOT GAY people fetishize gay people.
Am i over reacting or am i wrong??????
