Am i the only one who's kinda confused abt the story? I mean i don't get what is going on ...

I think that this is what supposed to happen in the real storyline

1. the bit with og!FL was an extract from the original novel, it's what would've happened if cassis had died at the hands of the Agriches
2. Roxanna has to Atleast appear like she's an important part+contributor to the family to maximize her survivability
3. Dion wants to leave a scar on Roxanna's heart/see her cry. in chapter 29 Roxanna states that it would've been easier to control him if her desire towards her was carnal (which means there's no incest involved given there's no sexual desire on his part) but wanting to deeply hurt/scar a sibling is a twisted wish to have nonetheless.

I believe it was in Roxie's plan to fake Cassis' death in order for him to leave Agriche, otherwise if she didn't do that her father will grow suspicious of her as to why she'd want to free Cassis. Also no one knows that Cassis is still alive only Roxie and Cassis themselves know this.

As for Dion, i read a spoiler on it, Dion isn't romantically interested in Roxie. Remember that scene when Roxie had to kill an illusion of her brother Ashil and Dion was there as well? Dion was interested at how Roxie cried for her brother. Since Dion was never loved by his parents, and saw how Roxie loved her brother, Dion wanted someone who'll react like that to him when he dies or just the general feeling of being cared for and because of that he wanted to see Roxie cry again not because she showed weakness but because she showed that she cares for someone.
